Tempcover.com needed a solution that would transform their ability to scale at pace as demand required, predictably and cost effectively but also underpin the ability to gain unique data insights and take advantage of rapid innovation.

The Scale of the Challenge

Tempcover’s business relies on their customers’ ability to interface with the Tempcover.com website. If the website is unavailable Tempcover’s main source of revenue stops. As well as the critical dependence on website uptime, customer experience on the website must be outstanding. Any slowness of response or usability issues will drive customers to another provider in an extremely competitive marketplace.

Tempcover began analysing options to implement a best of breed consumer website solution to deliver improved performance, resilience and availability to their main transactional touch point. The solution would need to be based in a hyperscale cloud environment so they wanted to engage an expert partner with a proven track record to help them achieve their objective.

Creating the Perfect Solution

Tempcover engaged Extrinsica Global to create a solution in Microsoft Azure that would deliver key capabilities. Extrinsica started by developing a detailed understanding of Tempcover’s business objectives: how were availability and performance currently impacting user experience? What needed to be done to make this experience an outstanding one?

Working collaboratively, Tempcover and Extrinsica Global developed a solution where these business objectives drove the technical design and deployment. Tempcover now not only have a platform providing the resilience and performance they need, but also a strategy that supports and rewards innovation. They’re free to trial Azure-native technologies that further enhance customer experience – such as Chat Bots and Optical Character Recognition.
