Implementation
Extrinsica Global delivered the Extrinsica Office Anywhere™ Corporate service to Strata, which provided the software applications that they required via the Internet. In addition to the applications, a secure, fully backed up file storage capacity of 25Gb was provided along with Microsoft Exchange e-mail and its collaborative working tools with full sharing functionality.

The only technical infrastructure that needed to be installed at Strata's corporate premises was an ethernet network, a network switch, firewall and Internet connection router. This minimal in-situ technical infrastructure requires very little maintenance.

Business Benefits
Strata have been able to focus on their core business, leaving the technical management of IT infrastructure it uses to Extrinsica.

The flexibility has also enabled new ways of working. In the past project managers had to have all files related to the event they were managing downloaded to individual laptops, isolating their data when they were away from the office. With Extrinsica Office Anywhere™, they are able to leave for an event destination while colleagues work on files for them while they are in transit.

Office Aywhere has also facilitated effective home working. Staff are able to be as productive as if they were at the office when they work from home, substantially improving overall productivity.

Extrinsica Office Anywhere™ has allowed Strata to open a new office in the Middle East by simply relocating employees with laptops and arranging an internet connection. The new office was opened very quickly and at virtually no additional IT cost. The Middle East employees immediately accessed exactly the same file system used by Strata’s UK-based employees.
